Counseling and Therapy Services

Who We Treat:

Children, teens, adults, couples & families and older adults. We have a variety of treatment methods. Our staff provides current treatment for a variety problems including PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Anger management, child behavioral issues, mood disorders among other problems.

Genesight Psychogenomic Testing

We provide Genesight* and Genomind testing to assess patients’ genetic compatibility with various psychiatric medications.  The test involves a simple mouth swab to obtain a saliva sample.

The sample is analyzed to assess the extent to which selected genes interact with dozens of psychiatric medications. The resulting profile allows medical professionals to select medications most likely to provide maximum symptom relief.

Assessment and Diagnostic Services

We provide diagnostic evaluations for the following areas:

Comprehensive evaluation, Mental Competence, Fitness for Duty, Disability, ADHD & Autism Spectrum Disorders, Alcohol & Drugs, Bariatric Readiness, Neurocognitive Assessment and Medication Consultation.

Telemental Health Services

Counseling and therapy, as well as many of our assessment services, are available on-line. An on-line appointment only requires a computer with an internet connection (broadband, fiber-optic, and cellular data connections are preferable to satellite and dialup).

Our Methods of Counseling and Therapy

Our staff offers personalized one-on-one counseling sessions, play therapy, trauma-based therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, just to name a few.

Our History

LPS Behavioral Health, formerly Liberty Psychological Services, was founded in 1989 by Dr. Floyd Robison. Dr. Robison has extensive experience and expertise in providing testing and assessment services. He has been a consultant examiner for Social Security Disability for over twenty years.

Since 1989, our practice has grown steadily and continues to expand into new areas. We have added experienced therapists to our team and we are always happy to work with candidates who are seeking an internship experience. A new addition to our practice, we are pleased to offer mental health medical services for our clients. We have two qualified psychiatric nurse practitioners on our staff.

We are able to provide a unique and rich internship experience for any candidate. If interested in an internship opportunity, drop us an email. We also are always interested in speaking with licensed therapists who are looking for new job opportunities in a private practice setting.
